Insights: My Book; When Daisies and Thunderstorms Collide
I haven’t explained very much about the first poetry collection I’d ever self-published and it’s very special to me.
โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐
When Daisies and Thunderstorms Collide is about a young lady ย (the Daisy)ย who falls for a young man (the Thunderstorm).ย It’s told in the perspective of a daisy who describes aย thunderstorm as the gentle, pattering rain, the rolling thunder, the rainbow on dark days, etc. She also finds herself to be uninteresting and paints him as the beautiful one.
Somewhere in the middle of the book she shows her disappointment that the young man is not reciprocating her affections or making any effort at all. The daisy also finds herself becoming slightly bitter saying that he only talks to her when she speaks to him.
Towards the end she realises that actually she can do better than him and gradually starts to distance herself from the thunderstorm.
By the time the poetry book ends, she discovers that, not only can she be as delicate as a daisy, she can also be a raging thunderstorm in her own right.

POLL: What Sounds Better As a Title?
What sounds better as a title?
Lost Girl From Neverland
Summary:
I’m writing a spin-off (or something) of Peter Pan where an 18 year old dies and is sent to Neverland. Peter is assigned to new comers and shows her this seemingly perfect place. This story is set in 2019, 115 years after he met Wendy. He still thinks about her a lot, but when Ellie turns up, he realises he’s not thinking about Wendy anymore…

Review #9: Wattpad Book: This Boy Named Kyle by XCrocusX
Title: This Boy Named Kyle
By: XCrocusX
Genre: Teen Fiction
Summary:ย In which a little girl writes letters to a little boy.
(From The Author: Mind you, these letters are in a kid’s POV, so the prose isn’t going to be as strong as my other stories.)
Rating: ๐๐๐๐๐ย (See my Reviews Ratings post for more details)
My review of This Boy Named Kyle:
This short story about a title girl, Amy, who writes letters to Kyle, who we later find out, is dead. This story is about the journey Amy goes through to realise what ‘being dead’ and ‘heaven’ really means.
Amy is so innocent that she doesn’t even understand why Kyle wouldn’t answer her letters:
“…You’re making me sad. Please answer,
Your best friend,
Amy.”
It’s very heartwarming and in each letter you can see her starting to grasp it more and more. It’s a beautiful and innocent story.
Please do read it ๐

Review #8: Wattpad Book: The Girl In Blue by WriterBug44
Title: The Girl In Blue
By: WriterBug44
Genre: Teen Fiction
Summary:ย Lana and Sutton thought that they were going to take college by storm. Being on their own isn’t easy but they have each other and when they have each other, they can do anything. Best friends, family, sisters, twins. They are with each other through thick and thin.ย It’s their second year and they’re ready for it to be the best year yet with new friends, new romances, and new memories. Little did they know what kind of storm was coming their way…
Rating: ๐๐๐๐๐ย (See my Reviews Ratings post for more details)
My review of The Girl In Blue:
This story just blew me away. It got me hooked from the very first sentence, and few books I’ve read ever do that.
I’ve read this book about three times now and each time I do I get more out of the story and the beautiful twins, Sutton and Lana, who each have their own unique personalities and views about the world.
All the characters have both realistic flaws and strengths which I really admire, but I have a soft spot for Sutton. She’s amazing.
Overall, I think it’s very well-written and suspenseful. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who adores teen fiction, suspense and romance.

Review #7: Wattpad Book: Hot Line by iwearheelys
Title:ย Hot Line
By: iwearhelys
Genre(s):ย Short Story / Romance / Humour
Summary: In which a guy calls a sex hotline just looking for a friend.
Rating: ๐๐๐๐(See my Reviews Ratings post for more details)
My review of Hot Line:
At the beginning of the story Evan’s ex girlfriend cheats on him and when he calls the hotline both Evan and Tee find solace in each other.I loved this story; it was serious at times, but then had lots of laugh-out-loud moments as well, which I enjoyed too.
This short story is told through phone calls and text messages, which is unique in itself and the love between the two characters is just beautiful and I loved all their conversations.ย Evan and Tee (Teegan) are beautiful people inside and out.
I recommend this story to everyone. ๐
