When Lyla died something in him broke;
He just wasn’t sure if it was his heart, his rib cage, his soul or all of the above.

Please tell me what you think… ❤️
The couple met on an aeroplane,
Lyla fell asleep on his shoulder
while he smiled at the beautiful stranger,
who he would soon adore.
When she awoke
her blushed cheeks spoke
more than she did.
Felix remembered,
with a whisp of a smile,
how shy she was
that fateful day…
1. “She ran herself a bath and put some baby blue bath salts in it. When she finally got out of the steamy water she went to bed and dreamed of a certain boy with indigo eyes and a soft smile.”
2. “Ciel couldn’t remember how he had ended up in hospital. All he knew was that one minute he was thinking about Skyla and the next he was in a fatal position on the floor of his bedroom crying out in pain. He looked at the cyan painted walls and tried to lift his head up, but the pain was unbearable and the world around him turned to stars. Then it faded to black.”
3. “His lips, which were once strawberry red, were now azure blue and his inky blue eyes that stared vacantly up at them had turned to pastel blue.”
4. “Skyla was sobbing so much that she bit her lip to stop the sound from escaping. She bit down so hard that it turned a blueberry colour…”

Title: Cinderelliot
By: archertypes (Or Fury Evans)
Genre: Teen Fiction / LGBTQ+ / Poetry/Short Story
Summary: ❝He was my Prince Charming; I wasn’t his Cinderella.❞ Based on true events…
In this short story narrated from the perspective of an unsung version of Cinderella, Elliot Banks tells what it truly feels when you have an unrequited same-gender love with your straight close friend.
Rating: 💚💚💚💚💚 (See my Reviews Ratings post for more details)
My review of Cinderelliot:
I absolutely loved this story. It’s so well-written and I could feel Elliot’s pain. I have liked boys who already had girlfriends and I’ve also liked straight girls before, so I know how that feels…
It’s a stunning story of love, betrayal, and a twist of the classic Cinderella fairytale. Each chapter is written in a poetic form that flows beautifully and tells the uniquely sad story of unrequited love.
I also believe that the way the main character, Elliot describes the boy’s girlfriend is how many of us secretly (or otherwise 🤣) think about their loved ones other half and wish to win their affection.
Overall, the story pulls on people heartstrings and I very much enjoyed reading it. I liked putting myself in all the character’s shoes. I highly recommend Cinderelliot and hope you love it as much as I do.

The next ‘Insight’ is of my first self-published novelette/short story book ‘The Girl With The Purple Hair’.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I originally posted ‘The Girl With The Purple Hair’ on Wattpad on the 6th of November, 2016. (https://www.wattpad.com/story/89294422-the-girl-with-the-purple-hair-✔%EF%B8%8F). I wanted to see if people would read my story and surprisingly, as of today, 15th October, 2018, it has about 68,800 views and 14,580 votes.
I self-published it on Lulu.com in May, 2018.
The Girl With The Purple Hair is about a 17/18 year old shy mute girl called Violette, who has dyed her hair purple (obviously 🙄 😂 ) and a sensitive 18/19 year old boy, Benny, who’s falling for Violette more than ever.
Violette and Benny have known each other for about eight years and have been friends ever since. When she starts getting bullied, Benny quickly sticks up for her and is furious when people start attacking her and he tries everything he can to protect his girlfriend.
Violette decides she is ready to learn to speak again and invites Benny to go to speech therapy with her. This is a story of healing and over coming toxic people in the form of bullies.

This is my second self-published poetry book ‘My Dreamland’ and it’s a bit different to the others.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
‘My Dreamland’ is about a 17 year old girl who dreams about her perfect relationship for a year. It’s about her crush who she hopes likes her as much as she likes them. It’s representing first love and infatuation; some would call it ‘puppy love’ 😊
I’ve split the poems up into four sections; Winter, Summer, Autumn, Spring and for each season I’ve written about 16 poems…

I haven’t explained very much about the first poetry collection I’d ever self-published and it’s very special to me.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
When Daisies and Thunderstorms Collide is about a young lady (the Daisy) who falls for a young man (the Thunderstorm). It’s told in the perspective of a daisy who describes a thunderstorm as the gentle, pattering rain, the rolling thunder, the rainbow on dark days, etc. She also finds herself to be uninteresting and paints him as the beautiful one.
Somewhere in the middle of the book she shows her disappointment that the young man is not reciprocating her affections or making any effort at all. The daisy also finds herself becoming slightly bitter saying that he only talks to her when she speaks to him.
Towards the end she realises that actually she can do better than him and gradually starts to distance herself from the thunderstorm.
By the time the poetry book ends, she discovers that, not only can she be as delicate as a daisy, she can also be a raging thunderstorm in her own right.

I’m really pleased 😄

So, What should I review next?

What sounds better as a title?
Summary:
I’m writing a spin-off (or something) of Peter Pan where an 18 year old dies and is sent to Neverland. Peter is assigned to new comers and shows her this seemingly perfect place. This story is set in 2019, 115 years after he met Wendy. He still thinks about her a lot, but when Ellie turns up, he realises he’s not thinking about Wendy anymore…
